"Burning Bridges" is a dark comedy set on an isolated Irish coastline where siblings Maggie and Jack live in seclusion. When a young couple, Kitty and Luke, seek shelter after a boating accident, their arrival disrupts the siblings' isolated existence. After Luke's fatal attempt to scale the treacherous cliffs, Kitty unexpectedly integrates into the household. Over time, she transitions from captive to willing participant in their unconventional family, ultimately rejecting rescue when she has a baby. The play explores themes of isolation, trauma, and the formation of unusual bonds through its blend of dark humor and unsettling developments.
